Why Arkive Exists

Arkive was started because we know how easy it is for life’s most meaningful moments to get lost.

Arkive’s founder, Patryck, has been there. When looking for photos that told the story of his and his siblings journey from Poland, he realized they were buried in boxes or scattered throughout folders. He wanted to share important memories with others including the photos but realized the photos were to hard to find. There was no doubt that the frustration that was felt was real.

We’ve seen that frustration in others, too. The pause as someone searches through folders or bins, saying, “I know it’s here somewhere.” Even the worry in their eyes about losing something irreplaceable. But the, the joy when they finally find the photo that brings the stores more life.

That’s why Arkive exists.

Honoring Life’s Arcs

We believe everyone’s life has an arc. A series of connected moments that tell a story. Not just major milestones, but quiet celebrations, personal triumphs, challenges overcome, and the laughter and love shared with friends, family, and chosen family.

Those arcs can feel like waves. Rising and falling, sometimes smooth, sometimes chaotic. And that’s why we need an ark. Built to navigate those waves and preserve what matters most.

A Name with Purpose

Our name honors the life’s arc idea. It also draws inspiration from the story of Noah’s Ark. A vessel created with care and purpose to protect and carry forward life through the storm. In the same way, we’re committed to helping you safeguard the memories and moments that made you.

How We Work

At Arkive, we don’t just can photos. We beginning by listening. We want to understand your story and what’s important to you. Your photos will be carefully digitized, gently enhanced (never altered), and thoughtfully organized in a way that reflects how you want to access them.
